Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park Hawkins, Hawkins

Our recent stay was a mixed experience. The lodge has a beautiful location and the room offered great views of the lake, which we loved. However, the dining service was frustratingly slow and the shower in our room was disappointing. If you're just looking for a clean place to rest while enjoying the park's outdoor activities, this could work; otherwise, consider your options.

The lodge offers a tranquil escape surrounded by nature, featuring clean rooms and a lovely pool area. However, the dining experience was inconsistent, with limited hours and some meal options requiring travel into nearby towns. Additionally, the shower in my room was disappointing, impacting an otherwise pleasant stay.
